The EU is one of the world’s leading economies in green patents protected globally (high-value patents). This is also true for green patents in the energy-intensive industries, which must undergo a fundamental transformation to achieve climate neutrality.

To achieve the objectives of Green Deal & energy transition and reduce dependence on fossil fuels we need a boost on RES & green technologies. These require secure & resilient supply chains of #criticalrawmaterials and components. JRC provides the necessary scientific evidence.
