I’m available for spring and summer gigs! If you’d like me and The Dust & Mischief band to come and do our folky thing for you- let me know! Likewise; if you know a festival or other event with a D&M shaped hole it it- please put us forward :)

Here's why more than 90% of @neunion teachers voted to strike, and why there are such desperate shortages of teachers in important subjects. At the end of the Labour government in 2008/9, teachers were paid 1.67 times the national average salary. Today they are paid 1.41 times...

Today's gem. Little year 3: "Wouldn't it be sad if they turned Peppa Pig into bacon? Then there'd be no more Peppa Pig..." Yes, yes it would.

Imagine if you could go back in time and tell Franz Schubert that his melody would be used as a chime for Samsung washing machines. He’d probably say something like “Was ist ein Samsung washing machine?”

Children’s education is not suffering because teachers are on strike. Children’s education is suffering from years of underfunding, undervaluing and lack of understanding of how stretched schools are. It’s not self serving, not greedy, it’s wanting better for the children.

Hey folks, particularly in Oxford… please book some tickets for my gig on May 12th. I’ve taken on venue hire and ticketing myself and could really do with selling some tickets… please don’t wait to book. I need this gig to sell if it’s going to happen 🙏🏻

Yesterday in Portsmouth, we had an unforgettable time at the #SolentShantySing, rocking the stage alongside 800 talented kids from Portsmouth Music Hub, Southampton MusicHub, and Hampshire Music Hub. The sheer joy was absolutely contagious! 🎵🌟✨ #MusicMagic

Last Friday, Portsmouth Historic Dockyard was taken over by over 500 young singers to celebrate #YearoftheCoast by performing a selection of newly composed shanties. This fantastic event was made possible through a collaborative effort with Hampshire Music Hub, IOW Music Hub, and Southampton MusicHub .

Huge thanks to the wonderful Melrose Quartet who took time out of their busy schedule to meet some of the FolkActive Youth Ensemble, talk about their lives as folk musicians and answer their questions before their joyous gig at Turner Sims 🎶

What a wonderful inclusive community concert at Central Hall. Thanks to all the school students in Southampton Youth Concert Sinfonia who played a great programme and the school and community choirs who swelled the ranks. We made some noise! Southampton MusicHub @youthmusicMAST
