As we all try to do our best through these difficult times, our family lit two candles tonight. One candle for our healthcare workers and families and another for Goerge Penner who passed away today.He was an ever positive leader and friend. He made the region a better place.

Thanks to those donating at helpforukraine.ca,we were able to work with our partners to get bread to the people of Volnovaha,Ukraine. Thier town was almost totally destroyed because of the recent fighting and now they have found refuge in Krasnogorovka.Let's hope for peace!

My Dad enjoyed farming, community service and especially being a Grandpa.He passed away this morning (Jan10).He will be missed by many in the community but especially his family.Thanks to the healthcare workers and family for your care and respect you gave him in these last days.

In politics you often get to meet many people working diligently to make their community better. Hazel McCallion was an excellent example of that. She was feisty and always willing to talk and advise when asked. She will be missed by many across Canada.
