What people want: affordable, reliable trains that aren't perpetually overcrowded. Being able to get a doctor's appointment. Affordable food and utilities. Basic honesty from MPs.

What the tories want people to want: random bullshit the intern came up with

Why small mindedness is having big consequences Brain
I live under its shadow. I suspect most of you do too. It is the great mountain of small things. The higher it gets, the bigger the shadow it casts: a malignant darkness that pervades our lives.

Poll for scientists who preprint (e.g. on arXiv.org bioRxiv etc) prior to journal submission.

When submitting to a journal, how often do you update the version of your preprint at the same time as submitting a revised manuscript so that the documents are the same?

I find this very interesting and solid ground for Labour in the GE. The tories have long used the relationship b/w national & local govt as a partisan loyalty weapon, but all that does is punish voters in ways they feel every day.
