I attended Georgia Vine (She/Her)’s book launch party!

Georgia is one of my closest friends and I couldn’t be more proud of her. 💛

Her book ‘Occupational Therapy, Disability Activism, and Me: Challenging Ableism in Healthcare’ is now available to buy.

PIP is for the extra costs of disability!

You can work and your PIP payments are not affected. Being in or out of work has nothing to do with PIP.

It's worrying when we're talking about a benefits reform, but they don't even know what the benefit is for...

NEW BLOG POST: Independent living as a disabled young adult

“I wanted to quickly get all the cleaning done, cook after work and keep on top of the washing. But it took a while to find a system that works. At times, I questioned if it was possible.”

Here's how I'm rewriting Scope's social care content as a content designer.

'Nothing is ever set in stone, that’s the beauty of content design. Sometimes you need to start with a plan and see what happens.'

Dezzie went to university! 🎓

Today I was back at Leeds Trinity University University to be part of an employment panel. It was great to meet other alumni and see some familiar faces.

Great service on the Northern 🚆 train this morning. My guide dog Dezzie got a bit excited when the train guard spoke to me, but they stepped back and didn’t allow Dezzie to interact with them.

Dezzie can get a little excited due to being wrongly stroked in the past. 🦮

A month ago my guide dog Dezzie had a drunk man fall on him while we were on the train. He’s been a little anxious ever since.

Today’s the first time since the incident that he’s fallen asleep on a train. 💛🦮

NEW BLOG POST: 6 months of having a guide dog

“I feel incredibly lucky to have him. […] I’m particularly in awe of his memory for directions and locating places that we’ve been before. If I’ve been there once, he remembers.”
