Lots of radon tests this week, including Chittenango, Canastota, and Syracuse. The test in Syracuse, off Grant Blvd, came in over 24 pCi/l, which is quite high. If you live in that area, you might want to get your radon levels tested.

Interesting thermal image I took recently (Yes, we do thermal imaging to check for leaks) This is a radon mitigation system pipe and fan in a hot attic space. Note the differences in the cool/dark and the hot/bright colors.

I inspected a multi-family house on the North side of Syracuse this morning. It has a cool view of this church steeple being renovated.

Inspected a nice house in Canastota this morning. When I looked up, there was this large grouping of vultures. Not sure if there was a large dead animal or something about to die, but they are ready.

I did a home inspection and radon test in Cleveland, NY last week for a place on the shore of Oneida lake. Not sure where it came from, but this was a large, healthy, and rather nasty looking spider. I've never seen one like this around here. #homeinspection
