A simple kiss... And yet, it seemed to thaw the icy barrier surrounding Saturn's heart, even compelling her to sit up, placing her arms over Purple Heart's shoulders. She parted momentarily, gasping for air softly ❝ Nep...tune... I don't... I... I can't hold back... ❞

❝ My feelings... My emotions... It's all overwhelming... I– I... ❞ Saturn's heart was thumping a mile a minute against her ribs and practically hard enough for Neptune to feel it through her clothes and skin. Before kissing again, she spoke ❝ I– I'm... l... Love you... ❞

Saturn kissed Neptune again, this time with her heart on her sleeve: desperate, needy and melancholic, so to speak. It was as if she had longed for this for a very long time.
