So many people in the underground scene destined to be superstars working 9-5s to fund their careers

I’m getting asked if I’m a signed artist by music execs… Never been so excited and terrified at the same time in my life 😂

After dealing with the industry as a freelancing director and photographer I have the experience to know that these people mean business and opportunities like this don’t last forever. However, it also taught me the value of staying true to who you are and knowing your worth.

I put some songs that were living on my phone for years on Soundcloud about six months ago and my creative life started to change. Wrote a lot of those songs to transmute whatever negative energy I had lingering over me into a beacon of light. Music truly is a source of magic.

Pretty sure my Over Sober freestyle could be a single atp. The music fans across the world seem to agree as they keep playlisting it. Seeing a song I made in my car on playlists next to likes of artist like Frank, Labrinth, Daniel Caesar, Moses Sumney and Samoht is amazing.

So if people from “Sony” and “Universal” find you on Soundcloud and offer you hundreds of thousands of dollars to sign your life away to them as their artist. A. Do you use discernment to see through the scam? B. Do you use discernment to see that you should stay independent?

Not sure but I think they’re trying to get me to stop being creative for free. Or possibly it could be real people hitting me up and I’m just so tired of scams that it doesn’t seem real. Maybe it’s the universe trying to test my level of discernment before a breakthrough.

Freewill.

I get along with people that I align with. Everybody else… not so much.

The right people love being around me. The wrong people can go elsewhere from around me.

The right people come to me at the right time. The wrong people… they can stay wrong on their own time.

It’s been so long since I’ve had a social battery that I legitimately forgot what it’s like to have supportive friends. Now all of a sudden a group of very supportive people wanna be my friends. Let the inside jokes begin 😂

Killin it with discernment, distance and boundaries.
