Today we joined the Family and Friends for a moment of Silence to Honor the Lives of the 9 Firefighters who gave the ultimate sacrifice 52 years ago at the Hotel Vendome Fire. May They Rest in Peace and Never Be Forgotten.

Sad news that Boston Fire Dept. Chaplain Father Mahoney passed away today. I photographed him 2 years ago, seen below. NBC10 Boston - RIP.

What a life Father Dan lived. A friend who was there in some of our most sorrowful times. One who listened as we sought out his counsel, his guidance and his spirituality. His parish had no boundaries as he served thousands of firefighters. Our Chief Chaplain; Father Dan Mahoney!

Today we pay of final respects, as we honor the life of Firefighter Mathew Troy of Engine 10. May he rest in peace, and will never be forgotten.

Today was a special day for the Minehan family as Firefighters joined Mayor Michelle Wu 吳弭⁩ to dedicate a street sign in Honor of Lieutenant Stephen Minehan who gave the ultimate sacrifice 30 years ago in Charlestown. The sign is at Hallet-Davis & Milton St. Well Deserved, Never Forget

In the very early hours this morning, the Massachusetts House of Representatives passed “An Act relative to the reduction of certain toxic chemicals in firefighter personal protective equipment.”

Thank you Governor Maura Healey for signing our PFAS legislation into law today! This law will ban the sale or manufacture of fire gear containing PFAS chemicals beginning in 2027. MA will be the first state in the nation to ban these cancer causing chemicals from fire gear.

No greater friend…

August 29, 2007: We lost Firefighters Paul J. Cahill of Engine 30 and Warren J. Payne ,of Ladder25 on this day in 2007. They tragically died in the line of duty while battling a 4 Alarm fire at the Tai Ho restaurant in West Roxbury. #100ClubMass #RIP #LODD #Hero

The first recorded casualty on the morning of 9/11 was Roman Catholic Priest and NYFD Chaplain Father Mychal Judge. He was witnessed calling upon the Holy Spirit and absolving people as they fell to their death. #Neverforget
