JUST IN: 5th Circ has issued its decision on the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program. Lower court injunction is largely upheld, with the case sent back to the lower court to consider the DACA final rule. Also, program remains in place for existing DACA recipients.

Y’all. DACA recipients can’t continue living court ruling to court ruling. It’s too much not knowing whether you’ll be able to keep building on the life you have because of DACA. It’s never been enough and DACA recipients, among millions more!, deserve stability and permanence.

Today I met with #DACA recipients from #LasVegas. As of March 2020, 12,100 active DACA recipients lived in Nevada. #DACA offers ‘Dreamers’ protection from deportation. I will continue to fight for a permanent solution to our broken immigration system. FWD.us

This Tuesday, #SCOTUS will hear United States v Texas. It may become one of the most consequential immigration cases of all time—less because of its direct impact and more because of the precedential shrapnel the Court might produce. Here's a 🧵 on one of the biggest stakes: 1/

So much work. And in the end, it’s the strength of the women & kids in the immigration system, detained within its walls, who fought for their right to live and their rights under the law - that broke this jail. After 8 years, every day, I hope it’s true. readingeagle.com/2022/11/30/fed…

Migrants are not coming here to vote. In fact, there is no evidence at all that noncitizen voting is a serious concern. Last month I took a look at the Heritage Foundation's own database of noncitizen voting cases—and reveal how it debunks their own myth. immigrationimpact.com/2024/08/01/myt…
