Not a Chicago Blackhawks fan. Not after how they handled Kyle Beach. I am a Kyle Beach fan. 1000%. Bigger hero than anyone in the show. Sadly his jersey isn’t 1 seen around the rinks. But, with the exception of my CADPAT jersey for military games, I will wear it to every game I go to

1/3 432 days ago Kyle Beach came forward as John Doe in the case of sexual assault within the Chicago Blackhawks organization. In many ways the story has become yesterday’s news, which is horribly sad. With the fallout since then from what happened inside Hockey Canada…

2/3 it’s more obvious there is still so much change needed in how people treat other people…how people can feel entitled and how that sense of entitlement destroys other people’s lives. And how people who are told of abuse, people in power, need to be advocates for the victims.

3/3 To that, I can sadly relate. Kyle Beach is a hero. I got this jersey last year and wear it to every NHL game I attend. I haven’t seen another one like it. Which is sad. Kyle: thanks for leading with such bravery. Everyone: let’s set the example of what better is.
