Chelsea FC 🔵⚽️ According to Chelsea's history, The first black player to score for Chelsea in a Premier League match against Arsenal was Michael Essien. He scored a dramatic long-range equaliser on 10 December 2006 from about 30 metres out to make the game 1–1.

Chelsea FC 🔵⚽️ According to Chelsea's history, Chelsea’s highest red-card total in a single season is eight, recorded in 2007–08 across all competitions. This season (2025–26) they’ve already picked up four red cards in the Premier League adding to a growing disciplinary problem.
