An absolutely devastating day for Los Angeles Times and delosangelestimes. Everyone on the De Los team believed in the mission: telling Latino stories and serving our community. I'm heartbroken for my colleagues and for the future of my beloved paper.

Chels makes me excited for the future of our industry. To know her is to know someone who reports with care and empathy. And dang she works hard + smart! What a loss for LAT.

De Los was the best thing to happen to journalism in LA, and they just got rid of everyone on that team.
