Politicians are lobbied by ticket companies, it's why you'll often see them at big gigs/sports events. The biggest "legal" seller of tickets was able to act as a tout today, with total immunity from the law. It's not free market capitalism, it's touting, protected.

Ticket companies know what they are doing. The "buzz" of getting into the buy phase after 4 hrs is the same dopamine hit gamblers experience. At that stage, £150 to £400 price rise no longer is a choice, it's an impulse buy. An unethical/should be illegal business practice.

Suffice to say I'm gutted for Alan Barrins - the chef who, imho, was far too good for Sligo. A man of integrity & exceptional talent who didn't get the support he deserved in his home town Sligo's loss will be somewhere else's gain & I/we will miss him & his team terribly😔
