Grieving is exhausting. Your grief is with you throughout your life-time in all it’s forms.. Take your time. There should be no pressure to ‘get over it’. We don’t ‘get over it’....It’s your grief, and only you know how you are feeling. 🙏

Are you ready for Lung Cancer Awareness Month? More than ever before it is incredibly important to raise awareness of lung cancer and how early diagnosis is critical to a good outcome. You can play your part by supporting the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation #stillhere campaign in November.

Excellent news! In lockdown we called for an urgent review of early signposting for the bereaved & urged Government to provide frontline services with our Good Grief cards as one central signposting resource. Department of Health and Social Care have now funded 150,000 cards to all 223 #NHS Trusts/500 GPs

This is a heartbreaking read from lucy gossage Sharing her experience of treating cancer patients throughout the pandemic. The loss of human contact and touch combined with the abiltiy to see facial expressions is tough, for everyone. bit.ly/3jDpEaJ #CancerCare

To all the #COVID19 pandemic deniers out there. I’ve been a hospital doctor in the NHS for 25 years and have never witnessed a viral outbreak as bad as this one. It is far, far worse than any seasonal flu outbreak that I’ve worked through. Get a grip of reality, please

This #LCAM support the #StillHere campaign from Roy Castle Lung Cancer, highlighting that lung cancer has been driven under the shadow of covid-19. People are going undetected, denying them the chance of an earlier & potentially lifesaving diagnosis: roycastle.org/campaigns/stil…

Maybe you can’t control your circumstances right now but you always control your narrative about them. The story you tell changes your experiences even in the midst of difficult circumstances. Telling your own story is often the key to survival. #mentorship #leadership #freedom

Not every cough is COVID. The new #DoItYourself campaign is raising awareness around the symptoms of lung cancer and the importance of early diagnosis 👍. If you’ve had a cough for three weeks or more - don’t delay. Contact your GP today.

My DNACPR & Advanced Directive are not a wish to die, but one to not suffer. It’s not being negative, it’s an acceptance that my body has been through too much & that I wouldn’t want to deal with the mental or physical trauma of a ‘second recovery’. #importantconversations #CPR
