Crews with the I-10 Broadway Curve Improvement Project recently prepared the approaches and walkways leading to both sides of the Western Canal multi use bridge over I-10. Both the Western Canal and Alameda Drive multiuse bridges are scheduled to be completed later this spring.

Have you driven this yet? The dual high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) lane on westbound I-10 through the Broadway Curve area is now open! Crews have widened I-10 to six general purpose lanes and two HOV lanes in each direction between US 60 and I-17.

Over the course of the I-10 Broadway Curve Improvement Project, crews constructed two new multiuse bridges at Alameda Drive and Western Canal over I-10 between Baseline and Broadway roads. These bridges are scheduled to be completed this month.

Things have changed! The I-10 Broadway Curve area now has six general purpose lanes and an additional HOV lane in both directions between US 60 and I-17. There’s also an additional travel lane in each direction between Ray Road and US 60.
