NEW: Emmanuel Macron says he will dissolve France’s National Assembly and hold a snap election after Marine le Pen’s nationalist National Rally party trounced the opposition in France’s European elections. RN won about 32% of the vote- ten points up on 2019.

For those of my followers not familiar with French politics: This does not mean that France faces the risk of a Le Pen presidency. Elections of the National Assembly do not determine president, just the PM.
