As a result, though I’ve needed to be hospitalized for some days, I haven’t been able to get admitted. I’m now getting on an air ambulance, at a cost of $40k, which @bcbsil is refusing to pay, despite the medical necessity.

I just heard from a patient that an allergist at a certain top academic institution wrote in her chart, "Patient believes that #MCAS can cause #POTS. Patient is not well-informed," and then dismissed her with anxiety because her serum tryptase was normal. How sad and ironic... 🙄

If you want to argue with me that #LongCovid or #MECFS are #FND or psychological, you better show me peer-reviewed studies to support this. Going by your personal experience or anecdotes from your work with FND patients is not #science, it's #bias. #StopPsychologizing
