2 sisters + 2 days + 2 graduations = a doctor and a detective👩🏼‍🎓👩🏻‍🎓 Not bad for two working class girls from a small town in Yorkshire!

Getting ready to start the first day of F1 tomorrow - the end of an era, and the end of the horrific ID photo that has relentlessly followed me around since the first day of med school

Just got home from working 70 hours across 7 days and idk how else to explain how tired I am apart from to say that I just accidentally sprayed perfume onto my face instead of make up setting spray 2 minutes before I need to leave the house and now my eyes won’t stop watering🙃

I’ve just managed to leave work a whole 10 minutes early for the first time since starting in August and honestly someone needs to prescribe me 500mls normal saline stat because I am in SHOCK

Got called a ‘nice old man’ by one of my elderly patients with Dementia today and frankly that’s the best compliment I’ve had since I started working

So proud to say that I have been selected as part of the England Squad for the 2023 international baton twirling federation World Championships in Liverpool next year! As a kid I dreamed of being good enough to be able to represent the country at my sport so this is HUGE for me

Thought I’d hate my rotation on Geri’s; turns out I actually really liked it. Still can’t decide if it’s the people or the job that made me enjoy it so much! Next stop: gen surg (😢)

Was baby sitting my 4 year old cousin last night… have to say my aunt can’t have been filled with much confidence when as she was leaving the house, he asked her ‘who is coming to baby sit me and Charlotte tonight?’😂😭 Glad to know he respects me as an adult figure in his life

Jeremy needs to re-visit his anatomy if he thinks that carrying the crash bleep, being on-call for 200 patients overnight and doing F1 ward rounds independently on your first day of work is ‘finding your feet’🙄

Maybe for the first 10 years of their career MPs should be known as “Student MPs” who can’t claim expenses and only get the full MP salary after a decade. They can also have year on year real terms pay cuts because in the future they’ll be paid more and have a good pension.

Okay #MedTwitter I’m looking for recommendations for A&E FY3 (PG3) jobs in Australia, preferably in Sydney but open to other locations! Aiming to start September/October 2024. If you have any suggestions please send them my way!

Training for the 2024 season going well - nobody will notice a dodgy relevé on the catch if you style it out with a skater turn, right?👀
