I've just learnt that an investment forum in Moscow was interpreted by graduate students, "provided" by one translation school. The young colleagues did a great job, but haven't been paid anything. I'm convinced that any job should be paid. What do you think about this case?

Some people say that sim #1nt exists only right here and right now. But recently I had a rare opportunity to interpret the same speech 4 times in a row. During the first time the connection went down about 4 minutes to the end of the speech. As the speech was being recorded (1/2)

the organisers asked the speaker to start over again. Long story short, with all the interruptions it took us 4 attempts to finally make it. The speaker was kind enough not to follow the script to the letter, so each time it was a slightly different speech (2/2)

Someone recently advised activating the "High Fidelity audio" option in Zoom. Well, don't do that. It increases the load on CPU and bandwidth. So the sound may actually get worse (cutouts, metallic ting, etc), especially during extended #r1nt sessions. I learnt it the hard way..
