I wrote almost 1500 words for my dissertation this morning (some of which even have the potential to exist at the end of the project). Either I’m moving into a more confident headspace or my overloaded brain needed to release some of the data it was holding.

Academic pet peeve: an annotated table of contents is not a "book review." I can pick up a book & ascertain this kind of information quickly enough. A good review is written by a thorough reader who engages a book's arguments & problems, & can situate it in the relevant field(s).
