When I was in treatment the words “palliative care” scared me. I wish I had done more research and I wish my doctors talked to me about it. So I wanted to offer this infographic as a starting point for you to maybe have a convo with your doctor (if you feel it could be helpful).

I know this is easier said than done… believe me. I still fall into this spiral at times, but I try to remind myself to not let it stop me from living. From being happy in the moment. Sending a big hug to anyone who needs one. 🩷🫂

Being open about your cancer can exist in both these realms. It’s okay to acknowledge that. It’s also okay *not* to be open. Cope with cancer in your own way- not how anyone else says you should. 🤍

What a cancer diagnosis at a young age can do to a person. Raising #AYA awareness and developing focused #AYA care that bridges across #pediatric and adult #oncology, is what we do at TCA so cancer treatment teams can acknowledge and help those who experience 👇🏻.

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Did you know? Roughly only 4️⃣% of annual research funds from the National Cancer Institute are dedicated exclusively to pediatric cancers. This is 4% to distribute among ALL types of pediatric cancers which can be vastly different.
