Saving these buildings from demolition unlocks environmental benefits while keeping Chicago vibrant. I commend GSA for valuing community input & avoiding the potentially catastrophic precedent of needless destruction of buildings that were both savable and worth saving.

THAT SAID, any rehab of Chicago’s State Street buildings will go through Section 106. Anyone who wants to facilitate making them “climate-smart” or converting them to housing should weigh in on THIS proposal - which aims to do just that - by October 9: achp.gov/program_altern…
