Can you imagine being the person with clear evidence of voter fraud and deciding to wait over a week until hopefully someone starts offering to pay a million dollars for it? Do these people really think the only reason anyone does anything ethical is if they get rich doing it?

That's the thing, really. People who object to UBI want to feel BETTER THAN OTHERS. Equally valued? For existing? How DARE worthless/poor/disabled/ill people want to be valued and to contribute!

A lot of poverty is hidden and the worst poverty doesn't even look like it but has zero hope of ever putting a roof over their own heads.

Regarding "paying people to stay home," people need cash so they're able to stay home and still pay their bills. For essential workers who can't stay home, monthly cash relief will serve as hazard pay. For unpaid care workers, cash relief recognizes the work going unpaid at home.

Many of the same people enjoying more than $1,000 a month in passive income throughout all of 2020 believe that recurring monthly stimulus/relief/survival checks would somehow be a bad idea, as if the reason people receive income fundamentally changes its ability to pay for food.

Unfriendly reminder that people who are on disability benefits (which is very hard to get) live in POVERTY. Disability benefits are a death sentence for many. Cause it keeps people in extreme poverty and makes it hard to have savings. Being disabled is extremely expensive.

Being literally an angel on Earth is sometimes just so tough to deal with anyone else find themselves constantly stepping into metaphorical viper pits because you just don't think in an evil way so can't defend against other people doing evil to you?
