Some students at Pathways are based at Wildgoose Farm. Students take part in walks around the nature reserve and feed and care for the animals. The focus is on the individual and their interests and building confidence by taking part in fun purposeful activities.

We have been working with one particular student for three years now at home and despite many struggles, this week he chose to attend our new Pathways site and enjoyed the quiet location. "We are so utterly proud of the young man you are, C. Continue to shine like a star."

We are truly privileged at Pathways to be set in such beautiful surroundings, fostering a serene and joyful atmosphere for our students.

This week in Stage 2 and Stage 3 students have been developing life skills and learning how a plug works. They have taken it apart and learnt how to safely put it back together again.

There has been a higher demand at Pathways this year for Functional Skills Maths and English tutoring. They are currently taking place both face-to-face and on-line. We are proud that we have our very first student working towards Level 2 English Functional Skills.

On Tuesday 18 November we were pleased to be able to offer training on neurodiversity and faith to 50 x senior leaders from different faith schools across the Birmingham diocese.

Physical Disabilities Myths and Facts! Myth: It’s better to help someone immediately rather than wait. Fact: Giving time promotes independence, confidence, and skill development. Myth: People with PD need help. Fact: The right support promotes independence.

In a recent Pathways questionnaire, parents commented on: Highly supportive, passionate, and committed staff; individualised approaches; non-judgmental, inclusive environment; strong communication and meaningful feedback resulting in a positive impact on family well-being. 🌟

It was wonderful this morning to see the hard work that the students put in at the beginning of November is now starting to show as we welcome the first signs of Spring at Oak farm. A reminder that with time, effort and teamwork, great things grow. 💐💐💐
