SC-Task Force 1 is conducting a large-scale training exercise simulating a three-story parking garage collapse with cars on each level. Day and nighttime training scenarios involving survivor rescues are part of the training. SC-TF 5 is also participating in this exercise.

SC-Task Force 1 continues training with SC-Task Force 5, a regional US&R team in the Columbia area. The exercise scenario includes all disciplines working day and night time operations at a collapsed three-story parking garage with 15 cars with various levels of entrapment.

SC-TF1 has been reassigned to Orange County, TX. Everyone is working hard and doing well. Yesterday, SC-TF1, along with TX-TF1, carried out a humanitarian mission delivering food and water to communities completely cut off by flood waters. SC-TF1 remains deployed.
