ATTENTION SALARYPEOPLE Next Friday when your guaranteed monthly paycheck is deposited, take a moment of gratitude for the entrepreneurs who took the risks so you get this risk-free income. Shaming an risk-taker for losing money is like shaming a soldier for losing a limb.

Absorbing deep knowledge won’t happen overnight. But frequently asking two powerful questions can put you on the right track: “Why?” and “Can you give me an example?” s.hbr.org/2EHYIow

It continues to blow my mind that "it's just a few bad apples" is being used as an excuse to do nothing, when the proverb is literally "a few bad apples SPOILS THE BUNCH". The moral lesson is not about the existence of bad apples, but that failure to remove them SPOILS THE BUNCH.

Real science does not look scientific, surgeons can look more like butchers than actors playing surgeons, literature doesn't look literary, projects don't look like business plans, psychs are impostors & mathematics is precisely abt going to the simplest representation.
