I mean, this should be the whole election right here. It’s madness that a party re-nominated this person and sorry, fellow Americans, it’s madness that anyone thinks he should be anywhere near the nuclear codes again.

Let’s face it: Trump can’t stand even the possibility of someone upstaging him. A Burgum pick would make sense in the same way that Pence did in 2016: a safe & boring Governor who won’t steal the headlines axios.com/2024/04/28/tru…

I know Barr is in a lot of rooms where when you say Biden is worse than Trump everyone moronically nods along. It’s gospel within the tribe. But listening to him try and actually defend it to someone providing pushback reveals just how preposterous the position is.

This isn’t John Bolton saying he’s writing in Dick Cheney‘s name or Mitt Romney saying he’s not voting for either candidate. This is someone legitimately declaring on national TV: I have no soul or ethics. The nation thanks you for your honesty, sir.

Yet another stupid Trump narrative some in the media run with that somehow Trump is the bold one ready to debate, and Biden is not. No one in modern politics has skipped more political debates than Donald Trump. Biden hasn’t skipped any.

The average American voter does not care whether Biden ever does an interview with the NY Times. But this reads like it was written by Trump campaign operatives who are trying to push a narrative that Biden is too old/not up for the job.

I would say this below is a good encapsulation of the problem with political reporting in major media. This is a New York Times writer with 500K followers and he’s declaring Biden’s momentum has faded, pretending not to know that any given poll can be an outlier.

Biden shows time & time again his remarkable patience. He won’t get sucked in by the in the moment thrill of attacking people he needs to work with. He consistently gets the votes he wants in the end. Good to remember in terms of having faith in his electoral strategy as well.

“One-time”

If they didn’t see it as a potential battleground the Biden campaign wouldn’t be sending him there

Press/pundits treat Michigan as a toss-up & Florida as a Trump lock. The margins in 2020 were nearly the same

Republicans against Trump Always amazed when people put up videos that show them being terrible human beings and they think virtually anyone is going to side with them.

So many sharing this one but it’s a nice microcosm of the far left. Start by insulting people while simultaneously trying to get them to agree with your message. Then harass them & make an ass of yourself in public. No thought as to how this possibly could move public opinion.

Pence arguing abortion is murder but also it’s OK to “murder” but only up to 15 weeks. Totally incoherent of course. But he’s going after Trump on the issue. It might peel away some diehard pro-lifers from Trump’s column in November. Go for it Mike! nytimes.com/2024/04/20/opi…

I just don’t see this line of argument reeling in a bunch of Democrats who were originally going to vote for Biden.

I keep quoting the James Carville line: you know what we call a campaign that is relying on new/infrequent voters to win: a losing campaign. And I’d just say objectively: wouldn’t most of these Trump leaning “infrequent voters” have already come out in 2020? If not then, when?

I mean, these kinds of disruptive performance art spectacles are so cliché that most reasonable people just think oh, it’s the usual kooks doing what they do.. But also, imagine thinking “Murkowski is a murderer” is going to be a persuasive line of argument.
