We were happy to join KenyaCorrespondents in the discourse on 'The role of Media and CSOs in the protection of civic space in Kenya'.

This was a joint reflection forum to further discuss the resolutions adopted late last year.

Today, with the support from Muslims for Human Rights (MUHURI), we've gathered as the Coast Annual HRDs and CSOs to engage in peer learning and gain insights from seasoned HRDs to enhance the capacity of Civil Society Actors in the coastal region of Kenya.

CFF joins the family of the late Benna Buluma and the entire HRD fraternity in mourning.
May we emulate her bravery and resilience in fighting for human rights and democracy.

A team of CSO/media stakeholders have gathered to deliberate on 'the role of media and CSOs in the protection of civic space in Kenya.'
This is a follow up meeting on last 7th December Media-CSO conference held at Boulevard Hotel.

CFF has brought together CSOs and media actors to reflect on the Boulevard Resolutions' made during last year's CSO- Media conference. This forum provides a platform for both actors to reflect on opportunities to protect media freedom and civic space.

We note with concern the manner in which the Inspector General of Police- Kenya. has described the ongoing doctors' strike and peaceful protests by naming them a 'nuisance' and 'inconveniencing' . The directive given by the IG is dangerous and a threat to the right to protest
