I just signed a bill to make this illegal in the state of California. You can no longer knowingly distribute an ad or other election communications that contain materially deceptive content -- including deepfakes.

Interestingly, the primary reason the California Bar partnered with Kaplan is because the NCBE doesn't allow for remote exams. If the exam reverts back to in person, the need for Kaplan pretty much ends.

Sean Silverman: Silverman Bar Exam & LSAT Tutoring So were the February applicants just people who paid 900-1700 for the pleasure of being guinea pigs ? They took a group of applicants with a lower pass rate (mostly retakers) and subjected them to brand new mcqs and tech failures just to immediately fold? Pathetic

What. A. Complete. Disaster. This does nothing to assist those affected in February, and now the Cal Bar won't be able to stay within its proposed budget. It was close to broke, and the remote test was meant to prevent it from going from close to broke to broke.

Few are going to claim that apologies aren’t appreciated when offered by those who administer the bar exam. Better to admit error, of course. But what apologies don’t do is change in any way the consequences of the mistake. When a student in California doesn’t pass a bar exam

Feeling the beat of IP this #WorldIPDay! 🎶Today, I had the time of my life attending Women In Music LA’s Shop Talk at The Village Studios! Stepping into the rooms where some of my favorite songs were made felt surreal. Grateful for music, creativity, and the journey. World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO)

In my experience, this is unfortunately not surprising. That’s why I’ve been making a conscious effort to avoid relying on ChatGPT for all of my needs, even though it’s a struggle.

Stress shortens your DNA. But one state can repair it. And it's not sleep. At the ends of your chromosomes are protective caps called telomeres. They prevent DNA from fraying. Every time a cell divides, telomeres get shorter. When they're too short, the cell dies. Scientists
