It's review season! Now's the time to have the salary/promo conversations. Not while you're in the 1:1 with your manager getting your review. A lot of companies plan those 1-2 months in advance. If you're waiting until your review, it'll already be too late.

Some tech companies are still giving 45 min android interviews where you need to set up a project from scratch. Which is like... ok then... I hope you get alot out of this by watching me look up the dependency namespace for okhttp, retrofit, rx, coil, etc for 30 of those minutes

There's a time and place for Cross platform...and then there isn't. Right tool for the right job. Get it off the the ground to prove it out, but then you just can't replace the benefits of going native.
