Students had to conceal and protect their turkey by constructing a shelter using Lego’s, cubes, blocks, or magnetic tiles this week in the library. First they had to draw a blue print of their design the build it to keep their turkey from being Thanksgiving dinner! 🧡🦃🧡

We celebrated Veterans Day today with a wonderful ceremony to honor all veterans. Thank you to our special guest speaker, Mr. Carl Cox. He did a great job! We also enjoyed a wonderful performance by the Boomin’ Bruins choir directed by Mrs. Dailey. Thank you veterans! ❤️⚪️💙

5th graders rode on the Mayflower to Plymouth Rock to stuff turkeys for the First Thanksgiving. We worked on teamwork and cooperation, along with throwing, tossing, and rolling skills.  The kids had a great time but also learned some history as well.

These 5th graders represented CVES very well today during the Level 1 STLP (Student Technology leadership Program) Project virtual presentations. They had to meet with judges to present their project idea and answer questions about their project. We are proud so of them! 💛🐻💙

In the library this week students learned about The Rockefeller Christmas Tree and Rockefeller the Owl who was discovered in the tree last year. We discussed many facts, traditions, and owl habitats. They then followed step by step directions to create a Christmas tree bookmark.
