My favourite poetic form is the villanelle. I can reread Plath's 'Mad Girl's Love Song' a trillion times. One of my own villanelles is part of Fold me a Fishtail (available at @SelcouthStation). I think I should write another one soon. What's your favourite villanelle?

This week my 8 y/o daughter had to write a poem at school. The teacher told the class that 'a poem always rhymes'. My daughter protested & exclaimed 'my mum is a poet, she says poems don't have to rhyme!' She proceeded to write a prose poem, haha :D

I would have loved to pay Twitter a monthly fee of let's say 1 or 2 dollars for more features and less ads. Would have signed up for that a long long time ago. Not anymore though. Is there already a Mastodon for poets? Or a different platform where poets emigrate to?
