when you treat yourself well and i mean genuinely well, it becomes extremely difficult for you to sit back and allow anyone to treat you poorly (especially on a consistent basis). the contrast will be impossible to ignore.

i’m slowly learning that even if i react, it won’t change anything. it won’t make certain people suddenly love, understand & respect me, it won’t change their minds. sometimes it’s better to say nothing & detach myself from them.

I avoid eggshell type of relationships, can’t express yourself, can’t be yourself, can’t ever be straight forward, can’t be comfortable, can’t talk like adults, can’t be heard, can’t respond with love without it turning into something negative…

i don’t understand why everyone is so afraid of adult conversations. you don’t like me? tell me. you don’t wanna talk to me? don't ignore me. you’re mad at me? express your feelings. i’m wrong? lmk let’s talk. we don’t agree? share your viewpoints. it’s really not that hard.
