What a delight in awarding certificates and gifts to 300+ learners who have achieved "Best of the Best" status. These learners have achieved 3 x 1’s and all the rest 2’s for Attitude to Learning across all subjects. Big thank you to Offelia (Yr10) for singing at the assembly.

A huge thank you to the Rev Nicola Thomas-Bizjak for the very kind donation of Easter Eggs. This will bring lots of happiness and gratitude from our more vulnerable learners who will receive them over the next few days.

We are really proud of our year 10 learners having mock interviews today and yesterday with employers. Thank you to all the employers who have given up their time to support us.

Day 3 of Food and Fun. CPR training with our School Nurses ⛑️ and Nutrition Session 2 Eatwell Guide 🍓🥗🍎🍗🥑 great knowledge and discussions ⭐️🌟⭐️

Sugar session this afternoon with help from our caretaker Luke then a lovely visit from Ty Tanglwyst Dairy farm with their 6 week old calfs 🐮🐮ended the day with tennis and a walk in the sun ☀️☀️

Day 10 of Food and Fun at CCYD. Great fun at Bryngarw Country Park and hope to return for a visit and get more ideas for our School Garden.

Day 12 Food and Fun, lunch with Parent Carer and a presentation with videos and photos of 3 weeks of F&F 🤩 and certificates for participation in F&F and St Johns CPR certificate. So proud of all learners, always willing to have a go with a smile and lots of laughs👏🏻👏🏻⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

CCYD Results Day 2024 Congratulations and well done to all learners in Year 11. Once again, it was a morning of celebration at CCYD and we wish year 11 the best of luck in whatever path they decide to take, 6th form, college, an apprenticeship, or the world of work. Well done.

Congratulations to Year 9 learner Sophia Lewis who won 2 x Golds & 1 x Silver medal in the Karate Autumn Invitational Championships 2024. Sophia was also presented with 'Student of the Year' and has also been selected to compete in both Holland and Scotland again in 2025.
