Booklets in good hands!! The CCI, in collaboration with Panthera, has developed an educational booklet presenting #cheetah and #leopard species and their conservation issues for schoolchildren of Primary schools in the WAP landscape in Northern Benin.

CCI, CHD and African Conservation Centre (ACC) initiated a dedicated camp for boys to provide essential #conservation training. This project empowered and educated young Maasai boys on critical conservation issues within the Amboseli ecosystem, #carnivoreconservation, and human-wildlife coexistence.

CCI’s Southern Africa Coordinator, Rosemary Groom attended the SADC (TFCA) Summit in Harare. They discussed how #naturecredits can support #biodiversity, create jobs, and strengthen #communityinvolvement , ensuring long-term #conservation success and regional integration.

Strategic Planning for the Conservation of Cheetah & #AfricaWildDogs was presented at the SOS #AfricanWildlife Initiative regional workshop in Senegal. Recommendations to guide IUCN's programmes in West & Central Africa & strengthen #biodiversity protection were formulated.

Thanks IUCN’s SOS for inviting CCI to participate in the strategizing workshop for Eastern and Southern Africa: “Advancing Species Conservation, pathways for Sustainable Impact in Eastern and Southern Africa”. The focus on community-led conservation was especially well received.

CCI organized a big regional workshop to update the Southern African #Conservation Strategy for #Cheetah and #WildDogs. Co-facilitated by CCI and the IUCN Cat and Canid Specialist Groups, was attended by 58 participants, both government and NGOs.
