As a result of the latest lockdown, Children North East and Child Poverty Action Group have written to Gavin Williamson, calling on the Government to take a child and family-centred approach to home education during this lockdown.

Having children learning at home places additional financial pressure on families. Child Poverty Action Group and Children North East are calling for greater financial support for families by increasing #ChildBenefit and making more pupils eligible for #freeschoolmeals
