#fantasyindiesoctober Lydia V Russell Chesney Infalt Hi! I’m Cat! Haven’t been as active here lately because I’m writing! Current focus is to finish my Christmas novelette “The Gingerbread Pup” and a short story for an upcoming anthology. Then back to my novels!

#OctoberWorldbuilders Kira of the Wind (Erika McCorkle) One of the major deserts in Coexist is called “blood desert” or something simply “the Desert” with a capital. The sand, as per the name is blood red, but it’s cool to the touch, even in midday.

#OctoberWorldbuilders Kira of the Wind (Erika McCorkle) The centaur tribes. Most of them are nomadic, following the rainy seasons as they pass over the land. But there’s at least one that has become permanent because they’ve figured out to pull water from the sand.

Durin’s arrival for sure. The orcs realizing Adar has become as obsessed as Galadriel once was and they are now the fodder. The Stranger’s identity.

#dogsoftwitter When there is only so much room behind Daddy on the couch, what does a pup do? ….lie on top of brother, naturally.

#amwriting A side character in my Christmas #WIP is the Spirit of Winter. She’s made herself a challenge to sample every human culture (especially the food and crafts!) in the world. in the 6000+ years of human civilization, she’s hardly made a dent:

Fun #worldbuilding fact. All my stories, no matter what series/standalone etc. have chocolate. The characters might not call it that but it exists. Because the thought of a world without chocolate makes me ridiculously sad for those that live in it. #amwriting

#OctoberWorldbuilders Kira of the Wind (Erika McCorkle) Plants/Animals. Two come to mind: The water-sap: a tiny, unassuming tree that grows near rocks. But its sap is 99% water. So it can be a lifesaver. The Saron—most people fear giant spiders. This is a house-sized scorpion, with two tails.

Cinderella is probably my least favorite fairy tale but I adored this book! There’s so much thought put into the world, the characters, and not just what the characters do but WHY they do it. Highly recommended!

This happened. You cannot convince me otherwise! Celebrimbor absolutely giddy, so much so he’s near tears, to meet the hobbit who destroyed the Ring of Power.

#amwriting Memo to autocorrect, I am writing a fantasy. A fantasy. It’s serpent not servant. It’s snake-beast, not reason. Please try to keep up.

Fun #worldbuilding fact. The Goddess Natur hates the word “mother.” She considers it distant and too formal “as if I don’t know my children at all!” So while all other religions will use “Mother” if they reference her, those that follow her belief system use the informal “Mama.”

So maybe it’s my wishful thinking but #RingsOfPowerS2 since Arondir stated he was from Greenwood, what if he goes to gain assistance from his king Oropher and Prince Thranduil in coming seasons??

#RingsOfPowerS2 I think what breaks my heart most about Celebrimbor is this elf caught no breaks. When Sauron is talking about the fall of Gondolin…Celebrimbor was there when it fell. And Sauron knows it. Celebrimbor also fought in the War of Wrath. He deserved better…💔
