Saplings class have had a wonderful time this week learning all about King Charles III. They have drawn portraits and the reception children have used their writing skills to record some facts. Finally, they have used collaging techniques to produce a crown and the kings head.

Reception have been very inspired by our visiting caterpillars. They have loved watching their transformation from caterpillar to cocoon and then to Painted lady butterflies. They wanted to show you all some of their wonderful work about them. HfL Early Years #EYFS

Throughout this year, Saplings class have loved learning about numbers 0 to 20, with a little help from the Numberblocks. We love them so much we’ve even created this numberblock themed display for our number nook. Numberblocks #EYFS @Hertsmaths

Saplings class loved meeting our new friends, who will be starting in Reception soon. We shared one of our favourite books, the Gruffalo, and even made our own puppets. We also gave them a new book to share with their families as we love reading. HfL Early Years #EYFS

This term we have worked together on a whole school project to study one of our favourite trees in the school grounds. Each class has sketched the tree and then produced a piece of art work for our very own art gallery. WoodlandTrust
