It's interesting that people are talking about Nicola Sturgeon's actual speech. Her compassion and hope for the country. After May's speech they were talking about her dancing onto the stage like a giraffe with jump leads attached to it's arse. #SNP18

What is hard to understand about this is why it comes as a surprise to the UK government - have they really been paying so little attention?

If you’re listening to the PM on Brexit and thinking there must be a better way than this - Read Nicola Sturgeon speech this morning on the alternative way forward #Brexit

I believe passionately in free speech but as First Minister I have to make balanced judgments - and I will not be part of any process that risks legitimising or normalising far right, racist views. I regret that the BBC has put me and others in this position.

The email the BBC sent to my office justifying Bannon’s inclusion described him as a ‘powerful and influential figure...promoting an anti-elite movement.’ This kind of language to describe views that many would describe as fascist does seem to me to run the risk of normalisation.

While I wish the strike wasn’t happening, I have nothing but admiration for the women involved. However, I feel contempt for a Labour Party expressing solidarity now when, in power, they took these women to court to deny equal pay. The SNP and Susan Aitken are working to fix.

It’s bizzare to me - but in 1985 I was in London and Paris - It proves to me how little Scottish news or detail filters through to England ... I only heard about this fella when I returned to Scotland in 2002

It's all very well for Andrew Adonis to come to Scotland and ask us to vote against Brexit again. We already have and our vote was ignored. What happens if we vote to remain and the UK votes to leave again? No answer. We are to be ignored and disrespected again. #sundaypolitics

It is my view that if Brexit happens Scotland might be better off as a separate state within the European Union & that Northern Ireland would certainly be better off - and indeed may have no choice - to form a new state with the Republic of Ireland
