what a lot of people don’t realise is that mental anguish can be so cruel that at its worst even positive aspects of life, kindness and encouragement actually deepen the mental pain, shame and guilt. It no doubt played a part but trolling isn’t the whole story #RipCarolineFlack

Paul Harcourt christians are humans, are frightened and worried and that’s ok. Preaching ‘do not fear’ and sleeping in the boat might not be helpful or induce guilt. I prefer ‘I am with you, my rod and staff they comfort you’ and a reminder that Jesus felt real fear- let’s take ours to him.
