On National Sibling day, it’s important to remember that when children are removed from home due to abuse and neglect, sometimes they are separated from their siblings. CASA volunteers help siblings stay united.

For children who have been removed from their home due to abuse, the not knowing of where they’re going to live or how long they will be in their current placement is a burden no child should have to carry. This kiddo probably had supervised visitation to reunite with his dad.

Grief is hard- especially for kids. We recently had a visit from former clients who came to Harmony House to reminisce about hours spent during supervised visitations laughing, cooking, playing games and watching movies before their mom passed away.

Our CASA volunteers are fierce advocates for adoption when parental rights have been terminated. As Chrissy Metz says, “all children deserve a safe, loving, permanent home.”
