Sidewalk erosion is one of those things which even informed people often don't fully appreciate. We tore up most of the sidewalks in our cities to make room for cars. When Al Smith sang about the "Sidewalks of New York", they were about THREE TIMES as wide as they are today!

Last night, walking home, I had to cut through a parking lot just to avoid the drug dealers, addicts, and vagrants who’ve taken over the sidewalks. I’ve lived in or visited plenty of major American cities, and never felt this level of unease or lack of basic safety on the street.

Classic American home: It’s not just the structure, it’s the feeling. The kind of place where summers are slow, neighbors still wave, and every corner tells a story πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

This is Spain… Where hundreds of thousands of ancient olive trees are being ripped out and replaced with solar panels. Trees, bees and insects all wiped out. You know .. to save the planet 🀑
