So, it’s almost exactly 168 hours before the Edinburgh Marathon starts!Aggghhh! I’ve jogged another 26.5 miles since last week’s 1/2 marathon in Kinross, but Auld Reekie will really test me! I’m hugely grateful for all the support being offered but verbally & in sponsorship! Tuvm

My last tweet ahead of a long jog around Auld Reekie! T minus 50 hrs in fact. A lot of the training has been great. However, at the Loch Leven 1/2, it was HARD after THE hill. My look of pleasure is obvious! Hoping not for too much of that on Sunday but it expecting too! Ha ha!

3 wks ago: “Edinburgh jog”. Now a slow 10km in Glasgow. Another full week just finished with some intense clinical work mixed with my kilt out x2 for 1st time since pre-pandemic. I was caught to sign something off at Rachel House on Fri before the Rocking Horse Ball! Bw, DrPats64

Nearly completing retirement challenges! Sunday saw an all-nighter joining other CHAS fundraisers in our bid to climb Nevis at night. We left at 00.15 & returned tired but successful at 08.40!Conditions were tough but we were guide-led. Last stop GNR T -6. justgiving.com/team/DrPat

10 months after retiring from CHAS and trying to support various of our family circumstances, I am just back from a few days in Romania “working alongside” a paediatrician at emanuelhospice.org/en Humbled at the dedication to support some really challenging clinical situations
