If there is a workforce shortage, especially in the NHS, why do we continue to tolerate a society where childcare is so difficult to manage and fund? Parents need good childcare to be able to go to work.

Iā€™m mildly skeptical of the metrics that threw me to the top of this ranked list of academics, but Iā€™ll get over it to enjoy the moment. Thank you HR magazine Professor Ruth Sealy Duncan Brown and Dame Jane Dacre

And of course I had to take some pictures of the wonderful CIPD Kogan Page Publishing textbooks from Professor Carol Woodhams and Dr Stephen Taylor. Honoured to have contributed chapters, and always lovely to see out in the wild! #CIPDACE

NHS consultants in England to vote on pay deal to end strikes. And deal includes reductions in service Inc's and shared parental benefits to help close gender pay gaps hurrah! Well done Dame Jane Dacre Carol Woodhams @! on.ft.com/3Gg1Uav via Financial Times

Great for the gender pay gap in medicine to finally get there. Shared parental leave for consultants in there and moving pay progression money to be earlier in shorter 6 point scales should really help. Great persistence and patience from Carol Woodhams Dame Jane Dacre well done!
