Anyone else completely fed up of living in a forever pandemic & ready for the grown ups to take over & implement the hugely successful, evidence-based, public health measures to get under control? Masks, ventilation, filtration, isolation of cases & close contacts to name a few?
We thank everyone who got vaccinated and tested yesterday.

The so-called "learning to live with it" phase of the pandemic is the most brutal so far.
It is showing precisely who and how many our society is willing to sacrifice in the name of supposedly "returning to normal."
Bit of news.

As a doctor, I'm very concerned about the rapid rise of e-cigarettes in young people. One-third of current users in Australia are aged under 25, and half are under 30. We need urgent and further action from governments to protect young people from e-cigarette addiction.

Due to data feed issues this month, a high number of COVID-19-related deaths is being reported today.
This has resulted in 105 additional deaths being reported since July 1. Ordinarily today’s figure would be 2. The average daily deaths in Victoria over the past fortnight is 19.

NONE of those things work perfectly all the time. But ALL of them help reduce harms some of the time.
Harm reduction is the goal.
We thank everyone who got vaccinated and tested yesterday.
