The heat is building the rest of the week and we could get close to records. Unfortunately, outside of an isolated shower late Sunday, it looks dry over the next ten days.

IMPORTANT🚨: THIS IS NOT MILKY WAY GALAXY! You’re staring at billions of stars in the Andromeda galaxy, captured by the Hubble Space Telescope—and almost every one likely has planets. Let that just sink in.

Today (Wednesday) was just the first day of potentially record-breaking heat this week - there are 3 more days where record highs could be broken before cooler air arrives on Sunday.

A pattern change continues to look likely as we round off April. A wetter pattern should set up for areas further East with below average temperatures starting to look likely. Severe weather chances will be possible. The pattern showing up would do very well in Winter but this

A cooler air mass will spread across the Central and Eastern U.S. as a cold front swings through. This should also clear out the stormy pattern across the Plains and a reprieve from record high temperatures along the East Coast.

Eastern chill finally gives way to more moisture on Thursday as system coming into CA today slips into the Plains and eventually MS Valley Friday. This may finally open the door to some needed precip for the TN Valley and the deep south. Please note there are many that stay

The upcoming "mega El Niño" could be the strongest since the 1877 event that wiped out 4% of the Earth's population due to heat waves, drought and pestilence. Scientists watching every weather model update are getting "heart palpitations" ❤️

If you live in the northern U.S., don't pack away your winter wardrobe just yet! There are more chilly spells to come into early May.

A significant pattern change is on the way. This will bring the return of rain & storm chances to the Southeast starting this weekend. I believe we start to see more consistent rain/storm chances as we move into next week onward.

A cold front brings rain chances as well as a cooling trend this weekend, but temperatures should remain above normal. Rain chances may linger through the end of April! #scwx #ncwx #gawx

While I'm not expecting large totals from any of these fronts, the chance of rain is at least trending up starting this weekend into next week. The long-range shows a 30-50% chance of above-average rainfall by the end of the month, and into the start of May. Fingers crossed! 🤞
