Yes, we often end up here due to instability in our own countries. But that instability is often caused by this country’s foreign policies. Policies that often benefit the rich of both countries. So not all of our stories are the same. We are not a monolith!

As the children of immigrants, we often grow up much faster than other kids. This truth makes us astute and resilient. We have always known hardship and there is no unearned sense of entitlement. Everything took effort and yet, we prevail.
