That way there would be two types of schooling: part-time and distance. Then, ready for September, schools could start planning for full-time, part-time and distance strands working in parallel - potentially with personal tutoring built around it for those falling behind.

Children will internalise the expectations adults hold of them. If we keep telling them they are behind or are somehow damaged, we won’t be helping them. Believe in them and tell them it will be ok please.

I’m shocked. According to Freedom of information responses 2,500 children in the UK have been admitted to hospital with malnutrition in the first 6 months of the year. This is 2,500 too many!!

If that other teacher on Twitter is doing live lessons and you’re not, fine. If they’re doing pre-records and you’re not, fine. If they’re reading three different stories and you’re not, fine. We’re each doing our best and all we can for ours kids. Don’t compare yourself.
