Agreed. Yet the UK Ambassador to Serbia publicly endorses the Rio Tinto lithium project which, if it goes ahead, is likely to cement Serbia's dominance in the region. It may also facilitate Russia's access to the Mediterranean, fulfilling a longterm ambition of Peter the Great.
